The evaluation phase of the leading innovation competition for Earth Observation comes up with first very exciting first results. The winners will not be disclosed until the Awards Ceremony in December, but the finalists of the Copernicus Masters Prize Hesse will already be revealed now.

EOmatic from Ilya Bolkhovsky and Lloyd Hughes convinced the jury. EOmatic enables precision irrigation using satellite data to monitor soil moisture and provide meaningful notifications to both humans and devices.

Matthias P. Wagner had a convincing idea with his “intelligent large-scale agricultural field delineation and monitoring”. It provides automatic large-scale, near real-time agricultural field boundary detection and field extraction to enable advanced products and services.

The Carbonspace Platform from Hrishabh Sandilya, Ph.D., and Oleg Demidov reached the finals as well. It is a disruptive AI and satellite-powered B2B SaaS Platform for Carbon and GHG emissions monitoring and verification.
